On behalf of the Shuey team, I warmly welcome you to Shuey Elementary School for the 2025–2026 school year! We are thrilled to have you as part of our school community. A special welcome goes out to our new families, including our Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten (TK), and Kindergarten students. We are so glad you are here!
At Shuey, we are committed to the Rosemead School District’s mission of preparing every student to realize their full potential, develop their unique talents, and thrive as leaders and learners both now and in the future.
We are proud to be recognized as a PBIS Platinum School and a Leader in Me School. Through the integration of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, we focus on nurturing leadership, responsibility, and life skills in every student. These habits are not only practiced at school, but can also be reinforced at home — helping to build strong, confident, and capable young leaders.
Communication is key to student success. Strong partnerships between home and school ensure students feel supported and connected. At the beginning of this handbook, you will find several ways to stay informed and engaged with school news and activities. In an effort to be environmentally responsible, most communication will be sent electronically via cell phone and email.
